Touch Screen Interface
HMI control system reduces manual settings to a minimum and enables a quick, easy and intuitive selection and control of the aggregate as well as the complete monitoring of a wide range of machine functions from the screen. It’s graphic interface is easy to use. It has on board error diagnostics which allow for quick identification of any fault leading to a quick resolution.
Heavy-duty chain feed
The steady workpiece feeding system comprises a driven chain with rubber-covered chain pads and dual row of top idle pressure rollers. This system ensures the workpiece is held firmly and travels smoothly during the machining process to ensure the optimum edge quality.
Pre-Milling Unit
(2) counter-rotating diamond cutterheads for removing up to 3mm of the panel edge to produce an optimum edge for applying the edge tape. This is designed to clean up edges that are poorly machined
Quick Change Glue Pot
The 2.6 lb (1.2 kg) Teflon-coated glue pot is designed for EVA hot-melt glue. The glue is applied by a roller, and the glue amount is adjustable. The glue pot is a Quick-Change type and can be removed and replaced in less than 1 minute. Excellent for fast glue color change or maintenance. The machine comes with (1) glue pot, and additional pots are available (see options).
Guillotine shear
The guillotine shear can rough trim coiled material up to 3 mm in thickness.
Pressure rollers
The pressure roller unit consists of one large roller, followed by a smaller one. The purpose of the unit is to improve the glue bond between the edge and the material. Due to the “Quick” setup system, the unit is mechanically spring-loaded and can be adjusted exactly to the required edge thickness. The adjustable spring system allows for a perfect bond between the panel and edge every time.
End Trimming Unit
The end trim system is a single motor with (2) saw blades. The unit is mounted on high-precision linear guide rails, ensuring perfect cutting results for years to come. The high-frequency 12000 RPM motor meets any challenge regardless of edge type and thickness.
RAPID Setting Top & Bottom Trimming Units
Equipped with (2) high-frequency motors for top & bottom trimming of the panel. The RAPID adjustment system uses a pneumatic 3-position adjustment to quickly change from 0.5mm, to 1mm, to 2mm edgebanding. This is done directly from the control panel without the need to open the cover and make manual adjustments.
Corner Rounding Unit
Completes the finishing of the ends of the workpiece when applying edges that require a radius end. Two high-frequency motors are provided for R1: 1mm and R2: 2mm radius edge. A quick-change feature allows the operator to rapidly change between each motor according to the edge being processed. The motor and cutter can be adjusted in and out when necessary using a precision mechanical readout for a fast and accurate setting. Once the motor is position correctly however it can be returned immediately to that setting.
Multi-Radius Profile Scraping
The radius scraping unit fine-tunes the edge radius while removing knife marks during the milling process on radius edging. The dual radius system allows the operator to apply a 1mm or 2mm radius and is selected automatically from the control panel without need for manual adjustment.
Flat / Glue Scraping
Flat insert knives designed to remove any excess glue which remains on the surface of the panel after applying the edge due to squeeze out.
Buffing Units
The buffing unit leaves a super finish on ABS and PVC edging and removes any discoloration on the edges, which is especially noticeable when working with dark edge material.
Release Agent Spray Unit
Applying release agent to the top and bottom surface of the panel prior to applying the glue and edge allows for simple removal of any excess glue. The unit is located before the pre-milling station so any overspray which gets on the edge will be milled off to ensure proper bonding.
Cleaning Agent Spray Unit
The cleaning agent system sprays the top and bottom of the machined edge on the processed workpieces. It is installed before the buffing unit and is designed to polish the edge and loosen any excess glue residue on the surface of the panel.
